⁸ The Israelites mourned for Moses in the plains of Moab for 30 days. Then the time of mourning for him was over.

⁹ Joshua, son of Nun, was filled with the Ruach of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands on him. The Israelites obeyed him and did what Yahweh had commanded through Moses.

¹⁰ There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh dealt with face to face.
